CVS Health has announced the appointment of former UnitedHealth Group executive Steve Nelson as Executive Vice President of the group and President of Aetna, with full responsibility for Aetna’s business operations and strategic development.

Mr. Nelson brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the healthcare industry. He spent most of his career at UnitedHealth Group, holding key positions including Chief Executive Officer of UnitedHealthcare, where he successfully drove growth for the company’s commercial and government businesses.
